The 29th Annual Wake Forest Martin Luther King, Jr (MLK) Holiday Commemoration will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church. The MLK Committee is again offering a slate of contests for students in our Wake Forest/Rolesville area Schools. This is an opportunity for our communities to come together and recognize the talents of students in our schools. The contest consists of Performances (dancing, singing or speaking), Writing (essays and poetry) and Art (drawing and painting). The contests are based on this year’s theme.

Thanks in advance to your students participating! This year, a minimum of three $1,000.00 scholarships will be offered to graduating high school seniors toward post secondary education. Areas of performance are listed below. Students will have an opportunity to demonstrate their talents by:
